Guests experience a unique "tree house" feeling as they relax on the comfortable upper porch. Beachgoers enjoy direct access to the Atlantic Ocean with a short half-block walk down a paved street to the beach. 

Located in the desirable residential neighborhood of Turtle Creek, "In The Oaks" sits on a quiet secluded street that dead-ends at some of the best beachfront on the island. This spacious beach home was custom built in late 2004 by Washington D.C. natives looking for something more than congested and noisy beaches. They found warmer waters with equally temperate hospitality and an abundance of fantastic restaurants. 



This large beach house can accommodate a large number of guests comfortably in oversized bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, ceiling fan, and television. "In The Oaks" was constructed, inside and out, for the unfettered enjoyment of the beautiful low country coast. Numerous windows allow spectacular ocean, beach, and live oak views. Created to feel spacious and open, the house was crafted so visitors have extra private indoor space. The tastefully decorated and inviting interior features a separate sitting area on each floor. 
 


The main floor has a large living room adjoining a family dining area. The spacious fully equipped kitchen is the perfect working environment for any chef and acts as a true social center for the house. The upstairs sitting area hosts a 36" television with cable, DVD/VCR player and surround sound stereo system. A library of books and movies continues to grow and book exchanges are always welcome. 

Nature abounds throughout the Turtle Creek environs; the home borders on a protected fresh water marsh that bustles with a variety of native flora and fauna. "In The Oaks" boasts two levels of wraparound porches. The lower veranda with its classic wooden rocking chairs is a peaceful place to enjoy morning coffee, while the upper level porch is perfect for viewing the evening sunset, or as a secure perch for bird watching. The 6-person hot tub on the top deck provides a tranquil way to unwind after a day at the beach, shopping in historic Southport, or day tripping to the Myrtle Beach area. 



The owners continue to look for ways to improve and expand upon the property's many amenities. They are on an ongoing quest to create a first-rate beach house - a place that will serve as a foundation for memorable vacations with family and friends. The goal is to make "In The Oaks" a place that everyone can call "our beach home."
